A superlight ski for full-day missions, the all-round Atomic Backland 86 SL is designed to fly up the skin track and rip on the way down. A reinterpretation of the original Backland SL construction, the ski features a lower-impact design and uses more lower-carbon raw materials to reduce production waste and cut CO2 equivalent emissions by 30% (compared with the Backland 85, 2021). All-Terrain Profile uses a natural-wood-to-fiberglass ratio to create a ski shape that enhances climbing and improves downhill performance on harder snow surfaces.

A Carbon Backbone adds stiffness while the poplar/caruba woodcore keeps the ski lightweight and nimble. HRZN 3D adds surface area in the tip for better float in powder while also reducing swing weight for easier, faster, more powerful skiing.
